Description

Use this comprehensive reading activity to teach students about the geography in ancient Greece. The activity could be given at the beginning of a unit on Ancient Greece to introduce the setting, or given as a stand alone reading comprehension on an informational text. It could alternatively be given as homework.

This activity includes an reading sheet on the geography of Ancient Greece to teach students everything they need to know. They need to find definitions of specific geographical terms used and then use their reading to answer comprehension questions. Included are also extension questions and an answer key.

The activity should take around 20-30 minutes depending on the level of the students. Additional time can be dedicated to a discussion of what they have learned.
