What educators are saying

I needed an engaging way to incorporate the world into my geography class. This was exactly what I needed.
This is an amazing way to help students with both their use of source documents and their understanding of how Greece developed within its geographic region. They were struggling with seeing the balance between independence and interdependence and this absolutely did the trick!

Description

In this engaging Ancient Greek Geography resource, students examine NINE statements across three overarching themes that were impacted by the Ancient Greek Geography: isolation, farming, and growth. For each statement, students focus on an overarching question and record relevant details on a graphic organizer matrix that are focused on the central question. Students learn about the impact of the mountainous landscape, their reliance on specialized farming, trade with others, colonies, and much more. TWO writing prompts are included, one that focuses on geography in Greece and one is an optional extension (or warmup) for students to examine how geography impacts their lives today!
