Ancient Greece: Athens vs. Sparta

This is a 3-4 day mini-unit that explores the differences and similarities between the ancient Greek city-states of Athens and Sparta. The mini-unit includes a dynamic 37 slide PowerPoint presentation, notes, student note-taking sheets, a Venn Diagram, individual readings on Athens and Sparta with accompanying graphic organizers, and an essay question that serves as a culminating activity for this unit! The mini-unit will allow the students to explore the values of these two ancient societies and examine the legacy that they have on modern western societies.
