Room 311 has crafted a fun and engaging 15 week elective course for English and language arts. This course will study the mystery through literature, movies, projects, and cooperative learning.
Teachers will find the following in the course:
1. A tentative course outline that can be adapted to classroom needs.
2. Vocabulary and activities related to mysteries
3. Activities to go with short story reading
4. A full set of questions, projects and a test related to the novel, "And Then There were None" by Agatha Christie
5. A short story writing assignment with a rubric
6. A project based on famous detectives
7. Notes and questions pertaining to mysteries in movies with movie suggestions
8. A participatory activity in which students will be able to act out and solve a mystery
