Description
Teaching anatomy for the first time and stressing out about how to administer dissections with your students? Veteran teacher who has dissected before, but wants to add more structure, rigor, and meaning to your dissections? I've got you covered!
In this dissection bundle, you won't just receive dissection packets and little guidance on how to implement them. You'll receive every possible resource you could need (other than the dissection equipment itself, of course!) to lead an impactful dissection for your anatomy and physiology students. In total, you'll receive over 20 days of engaging and ready-to-use content.
The fetal pig dissection includes:
- 80+ group-paced instructional slides (through Google Slides™ or PowerPoint)
- 16-page group packet
- Digital 16-page group packet
- 75+ digital flashcards (through Google Slides™ or PowerPoint)
- 4-page Physiology Challenge Activity
- Digital 4-page Physiology Challenge Activity
- 100-question station-style lab test, answer sheet, and key
- 5 separate instructional videos (10-ish minutes each) for prior viewing by the teacher or students
- 2 pages of teacher instructions
The sheep heart, sheep brain, sheep kidney, and cow eye dissection each include:
- Teacher instructions
- Lab packet
- Instructional video (for students or the teacher)
- Physiology chart
- Diagram with real organ pictures
- Anatomy review activities
- Physiology review activities
- Flashcards & BINGO game (except in Sheep Kidney Dissection and Cow Eye)
- Lab test (Sheep Brain, Sheep Heart, Cow Eye) or lab quiz (Sheep Kidney)
I have included 10+ minute videos of each dissection. These videos were designed with three parties in mind:
- You! I included all of my memory hooks, extension thoughts, and explanations of how to complete each part of the dissection throughout each video. If you have never dissected one of these specimens before, the videos will show you exactly how to do it and give you confidence when you step in front of your students to lead the dissection.
- Dissection-hesitant learners: Students may ask for an alternative assignment (or maybe you want all students to complete an alternative assignment). The video corresponds to all resources and is a perfect substitute for the dissection.
- Absent students: It happens! Send the link to the videos to your absent learners so that they can get caught up and not miss any valuable information on dissection days.
The dissections that are & will be included are:
- Sheep Brain Dissection
- Sheep Heart Dissection
- Sheep Kidney Dissection
- Cow Eye Dissection
- Fetal Pig Dissection
These dissections are included in my full-year A&P curriculum as a BONUS FILE!
