Anatomical Vocabulary Activity & Game

This a great activity for students to demonstrate their understanding of the anatomical direction vocabulary (i.e. proximal, distal, inferior, superior, etc.). It starts off easy, students are "filling in the blank" with provided words completing the sentence provided. Then, students are creating their own sentences with the word bank provided.

The last slide has directions to a game, and if you have an active class you can even turn it into a relay race. You can use a simple skeleton poster, print one for each team and they can "pin the structure on the skeleton". Or you can just use flashcards and students just have to hand it to you. (I have provided 5 example clues, you can change if need be or add more!)
