Anastasia Romanov Biography

Anastasia Romanov was executed with her entire family in the middle of WWI. She was the subject of an Unsolved Mysteries episode that discussed the possibility that she escaped execution and made it to America after the war. This sheet discusses her as well as her father, Nicholas II, the Tsar of Russia and the rest of her family. It also talks about her brother Alexi's hemophilia and the involvement of Rasputin in both the family's life and his role as a leader in the Russian government.

This piece is written at a middle school level so it should be able to be used from 6th-11th grade. The reading concludes with eight thought provoking questions and an answer key is provided for the teacher. The zip file contains the document in Word and Pages (Mac) so it is fully editable to suit your needs. I also include a PDF version for easy sharing to digital platforms.
