What educators are saying

This is great to use as a review or an introduction to analogies. My students were engaged and found it easy to follow. Thank you.
Took a tip from one of the other reviews and had students write their answers on mini whiteboards. It worked like a charm. My class had never encountered analogies before and were really engaged by them. I think they're still a great way to practice logical reasoning and finding connections.

Description

Analogies Interactive PowerPoint. What is an analogy and how do you solve one? This presentation defines what an analogy is, how they are written, and what relationships to look for when solving analogous pairs. There are 10 practice analogies for students, with answers and explanations. The guided practice helps students develop critical thinking skills and prepares them for standardized tests. Use on a whiteboard or on Chromebooks. Great to use at the end of the year before summer break or for summer school. Includes two practice quizzes (printable and digital) and includes a digital self-grading Easel Assessment that lets you get data on student performance. Use this digital resource in Zoom for video conferencing. Share with students in OneDrive or in Teams, too. Upload to Google Slides, and it will automatically convert. It is editable and easy to make adjustments If necessary. View in Slideshow mode. See preview. Note: animations do not show in preview.
