What educators are saying

This is a great way to teach analogies! Students at my school are very weak in vocabulary. This is a great tool to help them improve on vocabulary.
Analogies can be hard for 4th graders, but these activities had my students engaged and understanding the content.

    Description

This analogies bundle has everything you need to keep your upper elementary students engaged as they learn what an analogy is and how to identify the missing word in an analogy. Students will also write their own analogies. The activities in this bundle make learning about analogies fun and easy! Students love the activities while teachers love the convenience of these no-prep resources that can be used year after year! It includes a PowerPoint, worksheets, task cards, a craftivity, and more! The PowerPoint and flipbook also contain multiple-choice analogy questions to prepare students for analogy questions they might encounter on standardized tests.

Here's what teachers like you have to say about using these analogy activities with their students:

⭐️ Megan B. said, "Analogies really stumped my kiddos. This bundle helped them so much as we were able to practice this skill in many different ways! I recommend Deb Hanson to everyone I know! They include a wide variety of independent check-in possibilities, partner work and the most fun "craftivities"! My kids look forward to these craftivities with every unit!"

⭐️ Sarah J. said, "I regularly ask students to write and complete analogies using our vocabulary words, so I was looking for a way to introduce analogies to them. This product definitely fits the bill. The PowerPoint presentation really breaks information down and does a great job of walking students step-by-step through writing and completing analogies. There are gobs of practice as well. Very helpful resource!"

⭐️ Jaclyn J. said, "These resources were excellent to use to introduce and practice analogies! My students had a good understanding of analogies using these resources."

⭐️ Paulette B. said, "I LOVE this! I was able to leave the PowerPoint for a sub to introduce analogies to my students. We are following up with matching and "I have who has" to review before state testing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

⭐️ Lauren N. said, "I used this at the end of the year to get my 5th graders excited for 6th grade. They loved this unit!"
