Description
The President needs help deciding what to do about the price of oil! Should the US increase fracking operations to win the “Gas Nations” war against OPEC. This engaging activity challenges students to investigate graphs, charts, and maps about OPEC and its influence on the global price of oil. A printable “walk-around” poster version is also included for in-class instruction. Students examine data files, identify pros & cons, and evaluate the evidence. Then, they write a final report for the President recommending the best strategy for the nation based on their analysis. Is it better to drill our shale fields or continue the current relationship with OPEC? A fill-in rubric is included for easy grading. Print & interactive, digital versions of the materials are included. Made for traditional in-class learning or digital 1:1 classrooms. Everything you need is included!
