Description
This an Aimsir digital resource is designed for use on online learning platforms. This resource includes five mini lessons suitable for use online on Seesaw and Google Classroom. These colourful and engaging lessons are aimed at introducing 'an aimsir' vocabulary and learning to say the weather forecast in Irish. See the preview for more detail.
I used on Seesaw with my 4th class in May 2020 and found them very useful and engaging for the children.

Activities ask children to:
- Drag and drop pictures to match sentences
- Read sentences aloud
- Learn new phrases
- Match vocabulary to different pictures
- Learn the the compass directions in Irish.
The lessons are designed to be simple at the start of the week and increase in complexity as the week goes on. Five lessons are included - just €1 per lesson!
These resources are designed to extend the children's learning but are paced slowly to ensure that children learning at home are able to enjoy and complete the lessons.
The lessons are aimed at 4th/5th class but could be used as revision with 6th or a capable 3rd class. See the preview for more details and images of two of the lessons. Use the lessons each day for a week or over a two week period.

- Five simple Irish lessons on the theme of weather.
- Instructions on how to set the resources up on Seesaw
- Copy and paste instructions for teachers to use on Seesaw
Each lesson includes:
- Vocabulary introduction/ revision
- Reading weather sentences aloud
- A moveable slide
- A simple writing task. (Writing sentences, drawing the compass, writing the weather forecast)
