Among the Hidden Bundle

Among the Hidden has become one of my favorite books to recommend students and teach to kiddos I tutor. This bundle includes a variety of resources that can be used in small groups or whole class for comprehension and extension.

Among the Hidden Trifold:

Trifolds allow students to all work on the same “work” or task, but at their level. As students progress with their reading group, I provide them with trifolds that go with novels at their reading levels. Included in the product is also a writing wrap up that allows for taking multiple grades for the same “project.”

Among the Hidden Notice and Note Passages:

After teaching Notice and Note Fiction Signposts, as well as working through a novel study of Among the Hidden, bring them BOTH together and have your students dig deeper into the text, by using their opinions formed from evidence .

Ten (10) specific passages have been chosen from the novel. Students will read through each and determine what signpost is represented in the text. Groups can debate what sign posts they see, as well as find other examples in the book that support their thoughts and theories.

Among the Hidden SS and Science Extension Pack:

The items included in the extension pack can be used for center work, cross curricular engagement in social studies and science, or even deeper dives for early finishers and gifted students in a differentiated classroom. (Content focus is on government and hydroponics.)
