    Description

This bundle provides materials for students to investigate the history and symbolism of The Great Seal of the United States and of the painting “Spirit of 1776”. Students will also take a look at the design of the White House and the U.S. Capitol and some of the changes these monuments have undergone over the years. This collection provides a range of activities for young learners such as creating an original seal for their family and investigating images taken in and around our Capitol. The intention of studying some of the symbols and figures of our great nation is that students find an interesting way to get to know some of the history of our country with its ups and downs. Through a better understanding of one’ civilization, it is also hoped that students gain a better understanding of themselves.
