What educators are saying

Love these organizers! These work so well as my students use textbooks and other nonfiction sources in class. Great resource.
This resource had graphic organizers for the entire year. It was beneficial to my students with learning disabilities.

Description

This American History Graphic Organizer pack is the perfect resource for any teacher who teaches elementary or middle school US history classes. It takes a whole year of curriculum and condenses it down to the most important pieces of history to help your students gain a deeper understanding of the important events in the history of the Uniter States.

This is a 50 page download contains many of the important events from American history. It is designed to help structure the whole year of your American history curriculum. It makes planning lessons easy because it outlines the big ideas and concepts for each major event in history.

As an elementary teacher I know how difficult it is to teach all of the important events of American history and this download will help organize your lessons and help you focus on which events are really important!

I love this resource because graphic organizers are such a great way for students to organize information and make their learning more memorable and meaningful. As a bonus, when completed, students have a whole book of evidence of the learning that has taken place over the course of a year.

BACKGROUND INFO:

**Thank you for your interest in this pack of American History Graphic Organizers. This set is near and dear to my heart because I have a deep love for American history and I try instill a love of our great country in each of my students. This pack was developed over the course of 6 years and was recently updated in August 2016 to make it even better.

**I have a minor in Social Studies, completed 3 years of the Teachers of American History Grant, have participated in two American history trips back east (Boston and Williamsburg), am married to a Historic Conservationist, and taught 5th grade (American history included) for 7 years. These things combined have helped me to develop this product with careful attention to detail and with a desire to make learning history more fun and meaningful for students.

TO USE:

**I recommend making copies of each of the graphic organizers and compiling them into a spiral bound book that students can keep in their desk all year long.

**I have provided 4 cover page options so that you can choose the one you like best for your students. (2 colored and 2 black and white options - to save on colored ink.)

**You could also just print out the copies you need as you go and have students add each page to a special American history binder or folder.

**Additionally, these pages could work for homework assignments, early finishers, or a challenge for your accelerated students.
