Description

This is a no-prep packet on American abolitionists. It can be used as a bell work booklet, but would also be suitable for sub plans, or for early finishers. One of my focuses when creating this was to ensure that students are improving student literacy through historical reading and writing tasks.

Although this is a perfect resource for Black history month, I feel like it's important to celebrate these individuals and their accomplishments throughout the year.

This product includes:

  • 14 Readings on the abolition movement and abolitionists
  • 15 Engaging activities and writing prompts including creating a newspaper article and creating a cartoon depicting the life of an abolitionist
  • Google Doc and PDF versions
