All About Me Poster | Back to School Bulletin | First Day of School Activities

An "All About Me Book" alternative where students actually learn about their classmates! In this community building digital resource, students work as a class to create a back to school Google Slides presentation, introducing each student through their own digital poster. (Printable for a Back to School Bulletin Board, too!)

Your class will all work on ONE Slides presentation, with each student personalizing their own slide with their strengths, what they want to improve this year, what makes them smile, and more! You can even add class goals or expectations your group has.

Don't want all your students in the same Google Slides presentation?

No problem! Give students each their own presentation and put the slides together manually afterwards.

Each student will customize 1 slide of the presentation. They'll add:

★ Name

★ Photo (using the built-in camera or picture saved on the computer)

★ 3 words that describe them

★ Strengths

★ What they will work hard to improve

★ What makes them smile

★ Their happy place

Additional Slides Include:

• Cover slide - customize with a class photo from the first week of school
• Class goals/rules/expectations slide - have a class discussion and record student answers
• Extra photo slide to introduce teachers, aids, volunteers, or special school staff

How can these posters be shared?

• Project the slideshow and have your students present their posters!
• Print the slides and and make a Back to School bulletin board or hard-copy book for the classroom library
• Share it at Back to School Night with parents
• Try something new: Let students use the comment button in Google Slides to comment on each other's posters
