What educators are saying

A very thorough bat unit. So many interesting facts. The bat book was a huge hit. It covered so much and allowed my kids to tell their families exactly what we were learning.
Such a fun addition to our nocturnal animals unit! My students LOVED making their bat books and graphing if they thought bats were cute or creepy!

Description

Learn all about bats with these 25 interactive bat activities and adorable bat craft! You can easily integrate science, math, literacy and social studies into your nonfiction bat research, as your students learn about the life cycle of a bat; parts of a bat; diet of a bat; echolocation of a bat; location and habitat of a bat; wings, eyes and teeth of a bat and predators of a bat. They will also compare sizes of bats, while they learn all about micro-bats and mega-bats!

A nonfiction text is also included, so that you do not need to search for any books about bats! Use the nonfiction text as slides by projecting them onto your board, or print the pages and use it as a book.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! This file also includes EVERYTHING you need to teach your bat unit... bat anchor charts and posters, bat map, life cycle of a bat pocket chart sentences, diet of bat pocket chart sort, and vocabulary cards.

All shape book pages are black and white for easy prep. Complete just one or two pages each day... and at the end of the week, the students will have a handy bat shaped book containing all sorts of facts about bats. This is a great way to display and solidify their learning!
