    THIS DOWNLOAD INCLUDES ALL 20 MUSIC GENRE PPTs, AN ENTIRE YEAR'S WORTH OF HIGHLY ENGAGING CURRICULUM (800+ slides in all, filled with info, images, and hundreds of hyperlinks to song and video samples)

    There are 20 Genres to choose from on over 800 beautifully designed slides including: ragtime, gospel, blues, jazz, country, swing, folk, pop, bluegrass, R&B (Rhythm and Blues), Rock & Roll, Soul, Rock, Funk, Reggae, Disco, Alternative, Hip Hop, Metal, Rap

    Each contains a 40-slide PowerPoint (15-universal slides, 25 genre-specific slides) and a detailed graphic organizer for students to follow along (in both PDF and MS WORD format). Note that the same series of introduction slides repeat for each separate genre PPT.

    Each PowerPoint gives background, primary source quotations, images, details and characteristics of the music, as well as links to music, videos, clips and more. Studying each genre could take 1-3 days, depending on how many music samples you choose to show.

    These highly engaging resources could be used in many ways, like:

    * Enrichment at the Elementary level

    * Middle School or High School for a "history of music" or "history of rock n' roll class"

    * High School U.S. History

    * To supplement any music class

    * To introduce music to an elementary classroom
