Description

I've spent the last 6+ years developing a flipped class for Algebra II/Trig. I make videos that students watch at home, the next day in class we briefly discuss the math and they have class time to work. With videos, worksheets, and answer keys, I have everything you need right here to do the same.

So far it's been especially useful with the Remote Learning we are all trying to navigate as the coronavirus quarantine continues.

What you'll find:

1) Free videos (playlists on YouTube) covering the topics of the course.

2) Worksheets aligned with each video, and highly aligned with the common core standards for high school algebra.

3) Answer keys with WORKED OUT SOLUTIONS that students adore and learn from. I've found this to be an essential component.

4) An explanation of the pacing, process, strengths and weaknesses of a flipped class.

The worksheets are designed for tablet use, but can be printed as well. Some of the sheets don't print super well, but it's all useable.

Full of humor, sass, and a few spongebob memes, this course has it all. Check it out! Free lessons available to get you started, check my seller's page.

You can see the videos here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC31g9n8obZwg91pf8Ie4f1A/playlists

Note: Currently the majority of the videos in the trigonometry section are old and in the process of being updated. They are still quite sufficient, but the sound and video quality is being improved. The worksheets won't change, but the YouTube playlists will continue to evolve.

Explain how the definition of the meaning of rational exponents follows from extending the properties of integer exponents to those values, allowing for a notation for radicals in terms of rational exponents. For example, we define 5 to the 1/3 power to be the cube root of 5 because we want (5 to the 1/3 power)Β³ = 5 to the (1/3)(3) power to hold, so (5 to the 1/3 power)Β³ must equal 5.
Rewrite expressions involving radicals and rational exponents using the properties of exponents.
Use units as a way to understand problems and to guide the solution of multi-step problems; choose and interpret units consistently in formulas; choose and interpret the scale and the origin in graphs and data displays.
Define appropriate quantities for the purpose of descriptive modeling.
Choose a level of accuracy appropriate to limitations on measurement when reporting quantities.
