Ever find that after end-of-the-year testing students are less inclined to be engaged in lessons? I know I have. That’s why I modified a portfolio project introduced to me by a colleague for my own students. This portfolio is great for a student-created textbook they can take with them to the next school year. If students are at the same school, the teacher can pass along their portfolios to their next math teacher to use as a resource. Students will never again say they didn’t learn a concept the year before since the teacher has their portfolios.
