Description
I use these notes to work with my students on how to solve equations. I solve the problems in yellow together as a class. Then I have students work on the problems in white on their own. I think this method is excellent with working with lower level students who need more time to understand these concepts.

CCSSHSA-SSE.A.1
Interpret expressions that represent a quantity in terms of its context.
CCSSHSA-SSE.A.1a
Interpret parts of an expression, such as terms, factors, and coefficients.
CCSSHSA-SSE.A.1b
Interpret complicated expressions by viewing one or more of their parts as a single entity. For example, interpret 𝘗(1 + 𝘳)ⁿ as the product of 𝘗 and a factor not depending on 𝘗.
CCSSHSA-CED.A.1
Create equations and inequalities in one variable and use them to solve problems.
CCSSHSA-CED.A.2
Create equations in two or more variables to represent relationships between quantities; graph equations on coordinate axes with labels and scales.
