Africa South of the Sahara and Its Colonialism - Promethean Flipchart

This colorful, interactive 23-slide Promethean flipchart helps introduce students to Africa South of the Sahara Desert. Some of the covered topics include African landforms and climates, renewable/nonrenewable resources, African tribes/empires, the African slave trade, and African colonialism. Vocabulary reviews are included, as well as a variety of H.O.T. (higher order thinking) discussion questions and a renewable/nonrenewable resources container game. This flipchart was originally created for use in a 6th grade social studies classroom and follows Chapter 17 of the Houghton Mifflin textbook, "Social Studies: World Cultures and Geography".
