Africa Geography: Physical Features and Biomes Activity

+++Computer and internet access is needed for this activity.

This activity will engage your students and immerse them in the physical features and biomes of Africa.  Students will read about the physical features and biomes, map them, and then use the 360° Photo Sphere option in Google Maps to give them a peek at the geography of Africa.  Students will then work with the information through task cards and complete the exercise with two different processing activities.

Sahara Desert

The Sahel

African Savanna

Tropical Rainforest

Great Rift Valley

Congo River

Nile River

Lake Victoria

Mount Kilimanjaro

Cape of Good Hope
