Aesop's Fables for Small Group Reader's Theater Book One

The scripts in this pack were written for 3 - 5 students. Each script is an adaptation of one of Aesop's fables. Aesop's tales are a great way to teach students how to look for lessons or morals! There is a short writing piece afterwards which can be used for everyone after it has been performed or just for the students reading the script.

I use Reader's Theaters to help students improve their fluency. My students, especially the ones struggling to read, still require motivation to improve and that is where Reader's Theater comes in. My 3rd grade group needed some extra help with vocabulary words which is why I do not list this below 4th grade. As I have said before, small groups are better because students aren't waiting as long to do their part and they get more practice in.
