This double set of task cards includes a set for addition and a set for subtraction. The 64 cards feature mostly three-digit problems with regrouping. To add a little fun (and some practice with geometry and following directions), these sets feature a unique, “Fun Shapes” student answer sheet.

NOTE: This resource uses American English and is not editable. 

The answer sheet is the same for both sets as are the directions in the speech bubbles. This means that you can mix and match cards to make mixed sets of addition and subtraction. However, should you choose to do this, you will need to make your own answer key. Answer keys are provided for each set. The two sets are are color-coded for easy organization.

While many students will enjoy the fun answer sheet, some may find it difficult to transition from solving the problem to finding the correct shape for the answer. Those students will benefit by writing the answer directly on the cards (with dry erase pens) or on numbered scratch paper, and then transferring their answers to the answer sheet. One fun way to use these cards would be to put them in different places around the classroom and have students move from place to place until they have completed the answer sheet.
