What educators are saying

This was exactly what I was looking for to make sure my students aligned the numbers in the correct place. Thank you for a great resource!

Description

Hello!

The following is 40 pages of addition practice to practice any strategies you would like your students to work on. I use them for my students to practice either the traditional algorithm and/or partial sum.

This is aligned with the common core for 3rd and 4th grade, but can be used as challenge or review for other grades. Here are the the main standards it covers:

3.NBT.A.1

3.NBT.A.2

4.NBT.A.3

4.NBT.B.4

The reason I love using these worksheets for my students to practice is because of the "graph" paper like format as you can see in the preview. This is a very good strategy to teach your students so that they can line up their place value columns - many small mistakes are made because students don't line up their numbers, and this will change that!

These worksheets work with adding 3 digit numbers all the way up to 5 digit numbers. Each problem requires students to "Round and Estimate" before solving to give them a ballpark answer to check their actual answer with.

What is included?

1.) 20 TWO sided worksheets for addition practice - each double sided worksheet has 5-6 problems on it.

2.) Answer sheets for all of the worksheets for either the teacher to check over the work or for students to self/peer review.

If you would like these worksheets, but for subtraction practice (still with the graph paper format), try my subtraction practice worksheets!
