Description

This assessment meets requirements for CCSS.Math.Content.4.NBT.B.4 and CCSS.Math.Content.5.NBT.B.7.
Students are encouraged to line up decimals using graph paper in order to solve addition and subtraction problems with decimals. Students will be assessed on their understanding of adding and subtracting decimal numbers that have varying place values. For instance some of the numbers may have digits in the ones, tenths, and hundredths place being added to a number that has digits in the tens, ones, and tenths place. Students will be asked to line up the decimals in order to come to an accurate answer. The preview will show that the first problem is lined up using the graph paper for the student, but the remaining nine problems will require the student to carry out this process independently.
