Description

This interactive notebook activity and quick check assessment covers adding and subtracting decimals through the thousandths under TEKS 5.3K: Add and subtract positive rational numbers fluently.

Note: These interactive notebook activities were designed to be completed on paper. However, I have enabled the “TpT Digital” option in case teachers want to convert the quick check assessment page and assign to their distance learners!

These interactive notebook pages give students an organized, tangible collection of all the different skills we cover in math in 5th grade. It provides a concise introduction to a new skill, a tool for them to use for review when testing rolls around, and serves as a great take-home resource for parents to see exactly what we are learning in math!

I've designed these pages in such a way that they have minimal graphics and distractions so we can focus on learning and practicing each skill. I've used these pages in both a whole-group and small-group setting, and it has worked well for me in both!
