Abraham Lincoln Escape Room Time Travelers Inc. President's Day

Your mission is to go back in time and stop the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and escape 1865 without bringing attention to yourself.

Lincoln was the first president assassinated in U.S. history. Why did John Wilkes Booth do it? Well he thought it would aid the South, which had just surrendered to Federal forces. It had nearly the opposite effect, ending Lincoln's plans for a rather generous peace. Instead Reconstruction not led by Lincoln was an absolute mess, which for many historians view as the lowest point in the saga of American democracy due to corruption and misgovernment. If Lincoln were alive Reconstruction would have been much different. Perhaps, confronted by a united Republican Party and a president willing to enforce the law, white southerners would have accepted the basic rights of the former slaves. In that case, the nation might have been spared the long nightmare of disenfranchisement, segregation, and racial violence that followed the end of Reconstruction.

This heart pounding Abraham Lincoln Escape Room will have your students engaged while learning the actual account, facts, places, and exact timeline of this day in history.

I have worked painstakingly to make sure all events, places, and people are accurate.

This is my first in a series of many more escape rooms to come under the

Time Travelers Inc. premise. I hope you and your students enjoy.

The set includes everything you need. if you have never done an escape room before full set up instructions and directions are included. The set utilizes a Google Form so each student group will need access to one ipad, chromebook, laptop, phone or computer.
