"A.S.L., Yes!" is a groundbreaking A.S.L. curriculum created by Federico Quintana, a solo Deaf author and expert in A.S.L. pedagogy. The curriculum is the product of 10 years of sacrifice and dedication to the field against all odds. As a native A.S.L. user with deaf genes in his family, Quintana recognizes the need for A.S.L. materials to be produced by qualified native Deaf persons with deep cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

With limited resources and outdated curricula mainly authored by hearing authors, Quintana took it upon himself to produce the first A.S.L. curriculum with all his best "MacGyver" abilities in 2015. This curriculum is a much-needed addition to the A.S.L. teaching resources and is sure to be a valuable asset for A.S.L. educators and learners alike.

The "A.S.L., Yes!" Level 1 Lessons and Workbook is designed to align with ACTFL and ASLTA standards. This scalable and adaptable holistic curriculum is suitable for middle and high school students and college-level learners.

It can be used by both instructors and students in group or independent study formats. The curriculum comprises 30 themed topic lessons covering vocabulary, grammar features, critical reading and Q&A about the culture and language, interactive phrases, and engaging exercises. One of the highly visual textbooks, designed as mnemonic devices, contains over 1,000 high-quality sign illustrations drawn by a Deaf author and creator with deep cultural and linguistic backgrounds and over 150 signed phrases for translation and practice.

Say goodbye to bulky A.S.L. textbooks with separated cluttered packages of units and DVDs, and embrace a more immersive and interactive learning experience with the "A.S.L., Yes!" curriculum. Even better, this book can be done without the internet !
