What educators are saying

Personally, I struggle with coming up with fun games and activities on my own. I appreciate having resources I can pull from when we need to fill up a few minutes in class or to help review, practice, or have a fun day! This is definitely a great option. Students love it, I love it - it's a winner!

Description

Sometimes you just need a fun way to review vocabulary. ASL Pictionary is the classic game of Pictionary with ASL gifs, pictures, and words added to each slide. You can play 3 ways: whole group, small groups, and pairs. My personal favorite is pairs because the level of engagement is high (all students are either drawing or guessing). The student who is drawing the word can see the slide and can look at the gif to make sure students are signing it correctly. To keep the game moving, game slides have 2 minutes timers and transition slides (to switch teams/players) have 30 second timers. The game should last about 1 hour (or a bit longer if you stop to review the signs before moving on).

Perfect for the ASL student and also a fun activity for DHH students. Thanks to picture cues younger students can play as well. It's a hit in my ASL classroom and one of our favorite "Fun Friday" activities.
