AP Literature Prose Analysis FRQ2 Practice

This lesson is perfect for an introduction to the AP Literature FRQ2 Prose Analysis Essay or as a review. Using a previous prompt from the AP exam, students are walked through a close-reading strategy and assignment, how to find and organize specific textual evidence, how to write a successful thesis statement (templates provided), evaluating released student sample essays, and more. The next step after this lesson would be to focus on writing commentary. This lesson typically takes me two 50-minute class periods.
