Description
Increase students’ facility for rhetorical analysis of complex texts with three AP Language and Composition-style multiple choice passages.
Multiple choice is a daunting part of the AP Language and Composition exam. This practice pack will help students internalize the habits of strong readers. Students will use the weekly multiple choice close reading assignment to annotate and analyze each passage in detail to prepare for the multiple choice questions. Each passage is accompanied by ten multiple choice questions, presented in two formats: one with just question stems (great for directing students to key information while holding them accountable for the answers) and one with multiple choice options (provided in A and B forms with answers scrambled). This flexible assignment system can be used within a single lesson or spread out over an entire year—and the multiple choice close reading assignment can be used with ANY multiple choice passage!
