AP CALCULUS OPTIMIZATION PROBLEM SET 7 DYNAMIC PROBLEMS

This is a great resource of 7 optimization problems for AP Calculus or Standard Calculus. Great to use as demonstrations using a projector and computer or even with an Interactive Whiteboard.

2 Excel files: (2 versions of excel)

The excel file allows you to randomly assign values to the parameters of the optimization problems and can be printed off to create multiple versions of the same handout which can also be substituted as a quiz. A dynamic solution is also generated for each problem within the excel worksheet. (Your answer key!) Examples of generated handouts are also included.

7 Geogebra Files:

The 7 Geogebra files are dynamic applets that you can use to demonstrate optimization. The user can manipulate the parameter values to view the change in volume, area etc... to discover critical point values and global max/min values for each of the 7 problems. Parameters can be controlled manually by dragging a scroll or animated automatically through the play control.
