What educators are saying

I used this resource in a methods course that I teach at the college level. After skimming through the ACTFL proficiency descriptors, I share this resource with my students. It very clearly illustrates the various levels and helps students (and teachers) understand the difference between each.
This is a great visual to help students realize how language acquisition works and what is to be expected.

Description

In this chart, each level is related to an example that will help the student to understand his or her own proficiency level in language learning. Students or teachers can track progress and language proficiency improves throughout the course. Students can identify their current proficiency levels and identify how they can move up a level, to the next level of proficiency.

This chart can be blown up to hang up in a classroom.

Based on ACTFL 2012 Guidelines.
