- ★ Use this list to plan your sessions, choosing crafts for weeks of creation. Lists include supplies needed, as well as options. Completed puppet images are also included.
Puppet Craft Scripts for use with ANY paper bag puppet craft: pgs. 11-13
- ★ There are 15 strips of scripts for use with ANY simple paper bag/sack puppet craft. Use each page as a whole sheet in a sheet protector to visually support functional communication through requesting and commenting during creation. As an alternate, cut each individual strip, laminate and hole punch to house strips on a ring.
Pacing strips: pgs. 14-16
- ★ There are also 13 pacing strips with icons to match included puppet templates, plus 2 open ended. Use these strips to pair with each puppet or use the open ended dots. These pacing strips provide a visual for encouraging students to use more words when communication (increase MLU) within novel utterances or following a model.
Individual puppet templates and scripts: pgs. 17-86
- ★ Each paper bag puppet template contains a color and black & white version. To use the color version, just print one for each student, cut, and glue items onto a paper bag. To use the black & white version either print to use as a coloring page for students to color items OR print on card stock and use as shape templates to trace on your own construction paper.
- ★ Each puppet template includes a REQUESTING and a DESCRIBING page of 5 scripts each. Use the REQUESTING scripts during creation of the puppet. Use the DESCRIBING script to work on commenting and defining using features. You can choose to use each page of the scripts as a whole sheet in a sheet protector or cut each individual strip, laminate, and hole punch to house strips on a ring. Each strip has a label in the corner to identify the puppet.
