A Wonderland of Winter Math Freebies (Open Number Line)

Happy winter! This pack is jam packed with adding and subtracting on an open number line freebies! This zipped file includes:

Two identical PowerPoint presentations with four word problems to solve on an open number line. These word problems are perfect for projecting and solving during a whole group lesson. There are two versions: adding and subtracting within 100 and adding and subtracting within 1,000.

Also included are two activities that are perfect for small math groups or centers. Simply print the cards and laminate. Students can solve the addition or subtraction problems using the open number line on the card. Give students a dry erase marker to write on the cards. If you would like to students to record their work, a recording sheet is also provided. There are four versions of the activities:

• Climbing Up the Open Number Line- Addition within 100 (No Regrouping)on an Open Number Line
• Climbing Up the Open Number Line- Addition within 1,000 (No Regrouping)on an Open Number Line
• Skating Through the Open Number Line - Subtraction within 100 (No Regrouping)on an Open Number Line
• Skating Through the Open Number Line - Subtraction within 1,000 (No Regrouping)on an Open Number Line
