Description

"A League of Their Own" is a sports comedy-drama film that tells the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL), which was formed during World War II when many Major League Baseball players went off to fight in the war. The film is set in 1943 and follows the Rockford Peaches, one of the teams in the league.

The story centers around two sisters, Dottie Hinson (played by Geena Davis) and Kit Keller (played by Lori Petty), who join the Rockford Peaches and struggle with sibling rivalry as they compete for a spot on the team and navigate the challenges of playing professional baseball. The film also explores issues of gender equality, as the women in the league face discrimination and have to fight for recognition and respect.
