A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum! Movie Study Guide

This study guide is designed to accompany the film version of the Broadway musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum! The guide introduces the movie, the inspiration, Plautine stock characters, questions about the plot for students to follow, and poses a larger follow-up question at the end about the similarities between Roman and modern theatre.

This was created for my 9th grade World Cultures students as a culminating activity following our study of Ancient Greece and Rome, but would also be fantastic for a theatre class studying ancient theatre and stock characters!
