A Dog's Purpose Movie Guide (2017)

The 2017 film, A Dog's Purpose, is based on W. Bruce Cameron's bestselling book by the same name. The story follows a dog, named Bailey, and the many lives he lives with various owners. A boy name Ethan raises him after rescuing him from a hot car. He lived some good lives and one not so good life with different owners. All of his owners experience loneliness at some point and Bailey saw one of his roles as bringing them love and comfort. Even though he had several good lives, Ethan was an honor he was always drawn to and hoped to see again. The film stars Josh Gad, Dennis Quaid, K.J. Apa, Britt Robertson, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Gabrielle Rose, Peggy Lipton, and Bryce Gheisar. This film would be a great addition after reading the book, it could be used for an End of Year Film, last minute lesson, sub plans, or a lesson on love and friendship.
