1. Students will pen an email (paper template included) from Scrooge to the world giving them his advice.
2. Students will write a haiku about a character from the story. Printables for this include the following characters: Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley, Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present, Ghost of Christmas Future. (Students can color in the pictures that are beside the haiku.) Makes for a nice display.
I designed this with seventh graders in mind as this is a story we read out of our Prentice-Hall Literature text. However, this can be done with any level with our without that particular text. There is so much in this packet that I had to upload it as a compressed file! This is a 44 page packet with activities that your students will enjoy! They will tweet as the characters as well as designing a product for Scrooge to sell. In addition, it comes with a Readers' Theater focusing on the young Charles Dickens!
My kids have great fun with it! There are so many easy print and go activities! A lot of the activities make for great bulletin boards! The Instagram one (brand new) is so much fun! THERE IS SO MUCH IN THIS PACKET!!!
