    Description

This bundle includes the full 911 curriculum and lessons for the course. The course rationale is:

The course is designed to examine the origins and motives of terrorist groups that conduct domestic or international acts of terrorism for a stated cause. A focal point will be placed on understanding terrorism and differentiating between different definitions of terrorism as well as how religious text has been used to justify violence directed toward others for political gain. Since the definition of terrorism varies, students will analyze debates about specific acts of terrorism from an academic, historical and contemporary point of view. Emphasis will be placed on differentiating between different types of terrorism in comparison to terrorism being used to defend religious text. Furthermore, since terrorism shapes US foreign and domestic policy and laws, a portion of the course will focus on US foreign policy and laws designed to adapt to acts of terrorism directed against the United States. Throughout the class, students will be given the opportunity to engage in complex activities that engage their exploratory skills and motivate them to analytically solve complex global and domestic issues through the promotion of requisite critical thinking, communication, simulations, roleplaying activities, and collaboration skills. Such opportunities will be provided after understanding and analyzing historical and contemporary information

through discussions that will allow students to develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Bundle includes 20 lessons, videos, documents, slideshow, and student worksheets. Each lesson includes video explanation of content.
