9 Winter Holiday Story Cubes - Roll a Winter Narrative Story

Do you have some students who are stuck for ideas when writing? Do you want to add some fun and creativity during the winter and holiday season for writers who "can't think of an idea?"

These 9 super creative story cubes are a great way of inspiring narrative writing during the winter & holiday months.

How do they work?

• print all 9 cubes on A4 (at 100%) cardstock or regular paper (or 4 per page for mini-cubes)
• students can assemble the cubes themselves
• then, students roll 1 characters cube, 1 setting cube and 1 important object cube and develop a story by connecting these elements together (optional: use narrative planning template - included)

Will it be a hockey player on an ice planet with a sled?

A nutcracker on a snowy farm with an ugly sweater?

Maybe a snowman in a fridge with a mug of hot chocolate?

Students will love filling in the gaps of these creative, silly and imaginative winter stories!
