UPDATED FOR THE NEW 2018 STREAMLINED STANDARDS!
This 10 page review packet covers all of the Readiness Standards and Supporting Standards for Reporting Category 2: Force, Motion and Energy. Each section is titled with the TEKS that are addressed along with various activities/questions to make sure your students are reviewed and ready for the STAAR test in May. The optional cover page also provides an area for students to identify their strong TEKS and weak TEKS. It's important for students to understand the test and know what they need to work on prior to testing.
A modified version of the review packet is included. Word banks are provided when possible and an answer choice has been eliminated on multiple choice questions. The students who receive the modified version will still get all of the same answers as the regular version, so no additional answer key is needed.
A variety of methods for students to answer and prove their understanding of the material are included: labeling force diagrams, filling in blanks on data tables, fill-in-the-blank sentences, open ended and short answer questions, multiple choice, mathematical calculation using formulas provided on the STAAR Formula Chart with griddables to practice recording numerical responses, reading graphs and data tables, identifying examples of speed, velocity, and acceleration, check boxes, labeling diagrams, defining key terms, identifying examples of Newton's Laws, identifying energy transformations, and much more!
A complete teacher answer key is provided which will free up your time to be able to assist students and facilitate small group instruction or interventions, if necessary. Some ideas for how to best use this in your class are included.
