8th Grade Math Pre-Test, Gallery Walk, Game

This is the PERFECT bundle for the first week of school! In order to start off the year successfully, the 3 most important things we as teachers must do are figure out what our students know, get to know them individually, and put their minds and hearts at ease (because hey, it's math and some get worried).

*28 question pre-test to see where the students are at with 7th grade content that will be expanded on in 8th grade. The first 3 questions are "get to know you" questions, and the rest range from simple to challenging so that students aren't intimidated, but you get a great glimpse of their prior knowledge. They must have a graphing calculator for the end, where there is a section so you can see what they can do on their calculator coming in to 8th grade.

*Gallery Walk of concepts from 7th grade that are expanded on in 8th grade. Students just jot down what they remember from each topic. This will give more of a classroom-glimpse, rather than individual student glimpse, of what your classes know.

*Game Cards--for use any or all days! The cards include funny get-to-know-you questions and some SIMPLE content questions to make them CONFIDENT that they can be successful in math this year.
