What educators are saying

I've used this resource for quick reviews before state testing and as a final end of year review for the last three years. It works so well!
Plan to use as a resource for our state assessment. I enjoy looking how other teachers organize material and questions. Booklet is set up nice and covers a variety of topics.

Description

This PDF contains:

**12 8th Grade Math Topics Covered with 4 "FUN" Reflection Pages.

Students will review vocabulary by filling in blanks on 8th grade common core topics.

Then, students will do example problems for each topic.

This project was designed to be used to review before testing. I also have used it as a great project to be completed after testing, as an end of the year activity. This books doesn't address every 8th grade standard but the addressed standards are listed above.

I have included a rubric, word bank, and two different cover pages so you can customize this tool for your classroom.

I have used each PINK INK product in my own classroom and made necessary edits as I saw fit. Please use in your classroom and leave feedback to earn TPT credits!

Why see red when you can use PINK INK!?

Verify experimentally the properties of rotations, reflections, and translations:
Understand that a two-dimensional figure is congruent to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, and translations; given two congruent figures, describe a sequence that exhibits the congruence between them.
Describe the effect of dilations, translations, rotations, and reflections on two-dimensional figures using coordinates.
Understand that a two-dimensional figure is similar to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, translations, and dilations; given two similar two-dimensional figures, describe a sequence that exhibits the similarity between them.
Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.
