Description

Big Ideas, Essential Questions, Competencies, Vocabulary, etc...

If your head is spinning and you've no clue where to begin, then start right here. This is an original contemporary art curriculum for 7th grade, following an overall theme of ancient world/conceptual art connections. This is a contemporary approach in art education.

This is an editable file, so you may adjust accordingly in Microsoft Word. I have included big ideas with resources listed, ways to incorporate technology, suggested activities, and assessment options. If you follow this curriculum, your whole year will be planned for you. You may use your own creativity to guide the execution of your art activities! NOTE: these are not individual lesson plans; this curriculum includes all of the above sections formatted to guide you.

This curriculum allows incorporation of literature, writing, science, history, and math connections.

Hyperlinks to external websites, online readings, online videos, and other resources are embedded in the file.

Included with the curriculum are the (June 2014) National Art Education Standards. This alone is a handy reference tool for lesson planning.

Please check my store for additional resources. I appreciate your feedback!
