Description

This WebQuest takes students to three different websites to learn about the cross sections created from slicing three dimensional shapes. The first website has students explore cylinders and square pyramids and slicing horizontal, vertical, and on the diagonal. The second website is an interactive website that allows students to change the settings to adjust shapes and the angle of the slice. The activity has students adjust setting to explore the cross sections created from slicing a cone. The final activity has students fill in a chart summarizing the cross sections created from horizontal, vertical, and diagonal cross sections created from a rectangular prism, square pyramid, cylinder, and cone.

A link to a digital copy of the assignment only has been added after the answer key to allow for teachers to assign to students digitally.
