Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser.

This set includes a variety of skills and is a great review for your first graders. Skills included are-

Perfect Place Settings (Capitalizing Names) - Someone wrote names for the place settings, but forgot to use capital letters! Can your students fix the names? I love this video because it also has the kids circle the capitals before they erase. Click here to see this video!

Missing Subtrahend (Counting Up Practice) - "There were 10 turkey legs. How many did she eat?" First, your kids will write the subraction sentence that matches the word problem and picture. Next, they will solve it by counting up. I love how this video gives them time to think and attempt each step then walks them through it. All video previews are sped up and I take out the students' work time. To see this quick preview, click here!

Place Value Peas (2-digit Numbers) - There are ten peas in a bowl and and single peas on a spoon. Can your kids write how many there are in all before the answer is shown? Click here to see a preview of this video.

Comparing 2-Digit Numbers - Practice using greater than, less than, and equal to signs as we compare two-digit numbers. Click here to see a preview of this video.

Beginning Blends - We see and hear a word with a blend at the beginning missing. Can your kids write the missing blends on their boards before we see the answers? Click here to see a sample of this video.

Ending Blends - We see and hear a word with a blend at the end missing. Can your kids write the missing blends on their boards before we see the answers? Click here to see an example of this video!

Scrambled Sentences - Words pop up (with audio). Can your kids unscrambled the words to build a sentence on their boards? Click here to see an example of this video!

Solve it! Draw it! Addition to 15 - This is always a class favorite! It's like directed drawing with a math twist. Solve the math fact to determine which detail to add next. At the end, it shows what the picture should look like if you got all the math facts right. Click here to see it!

Missing Addends to 12 - We see addition sentences (both vertically and horitzontally) with missing addends. Can your students write the addition sentence with the correct number before it's revealed? Click here to see a preview of this video.

Colorful Turkeys - "The turkeys are running away! If you see a turkey, remember what color it was." This is such a fun way to practice writing color words. I love the way words are spelled out when kids check their answers. Click here to see this

video!

Missing Numbers on a Hundred Chart - We see a hundred chart with pictures covering numbers. Can your students figure out what number is missing? Click here to see a preview of this video.

To Grandmother's House We Go - Help the family get to grandma's house. Write which direction they need to go next. Click here to see a preview!

Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases:
10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones - called a “ten.”
Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, and <.
Understand subtraction as an unknown-addend problem. For example, subtract 10 – 8 by finding the number that makes 10 when added to 8.
Relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 2 to add 2).
