What educators are saying

I love all of The Primary Techie's whiteboard videos. My students always get excited whenever I put one on. I can always find one to go along with what we are learning.
My students love 1 minute videos and trying to beat the clock. I love the engagement and fluency it brings to different skills. This is a great Christmas review!

Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser.

This set includes a variety of skills and is a great review for your first graders. Skills included are-

Counting On Gifts! - We see a bag of gifts and some more under the tree. We hear how many gifts are in the sack and count on to see how many in all. This is GREAT practice. Click here to see it!

Wrappin' Solid Figures - We see a variety of 3D shapes and your kids will have to decide which gift is the same shape. I love that when the answers are revealed, we hear the name of each solid figure. Click here to see a quick preview of this video.

Capitalizing Names on Gift Tags - Oh, no! Someone wrote all the names on the gifts incorrectly! Can your kids fix them? Click here to see a preview of this video.

Scrambled Sentences - We see and hear words, but they are all mixed up. Can your kids write them in the correct order to make a sentence? I love that they begin to use clues like putting the capitalized word at the beginning and the word with punctutuation attached at the end of the sentence. Click here to see it!

Sweet Fact Families - We see three little gingerbread men with numbers. Can your students write the numbers to create the fact families? Click here to see a preview of this video!

10 More/10 Less Gifts - There are gifts under the tree. Can your kids write how many there are when Santa brings ten more or the Grinch takes 10 less? Click here to see this video! It is so cute!

Input/Output Machines 10 More/10 Less - The elves are using the amazing input/output machine which changes numbers to 10 more or 10 less. Can your students write the numbers that will come out before the elves start the machine up? There are two separate videos - one is all 10 more and the other is all 10 less. Click here to see it!

Naughty or Nice Equations - We see two math sentences and have to decide if they are equal or not equal. Click here to see a sample from this video.

Sorting Nouns and Verbs - We hear and see a bunch of holly jolly words and sort them into lists of nouns and verbs. Click here to see a preview of this video!

Missing Numbers on a Hundreds Chart - We see a hundreds chart with several numbers hidden by cute Christmas items. Can your students figure out what numbers are missing? Click here to see this video.

Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
Understand the meaning of the equal sign, and determine if equations involving addition and subtraction are true or false. For example, which of the following equations are true and which are false? 6 = 6, 7 = 8 - 1, 5 + 2 = 2 + 5, 4 + 1 = 5 + 2.
Determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation relating three whole numbers. For example, determine the unknown number that makes the equation true in each of the equations 8 + ? = 11, 5 = ▯ - 3, 6 + 6 = ▯.
